KD Lancer Tokens - NPC Mechs
A downloadable Token Pack
This asset pack contains pixel-art tokens representing each of the 30 NPC mech classes found in the Lancer RPG by Massif Press. Included are alternate color palettes for each of the NPC templates and combinations (Elite, Grunt, Ultra Veteran, etc), as well as all the deployables and environmental effects produced by the NPC systems and abilities.
The tokens are made with a strict 2-color limit, along with a limited color palette as a stylistic choice, not counting the black background and red border of course. The sprites were made in a 26x26 resolution, multiplied as appropriate for the larger tiles, and then scaled up to prevent blurring when stretched onto common tabletop grids.
As-is they should function well in most virtual tabletops such as Roll20 without any alteration needed. Provided in the file is a resource folder containing blank templates, alternate borders, and the color palette used. Use these to make any desired alterations, edits, or custom tokens in the same style using the image editor of your choice.
Thank you to all of the Lancer community for your support during this project, and a special thanks to Flintwyrm and Mantis Shrimp for collaboration efforts. I couldn't have pressed through this without all of you.

weren't there a token set for wallflower? I swear i had seen it.
curious question but is there another pack or so that has the wallflower NPCs?
Unfortunately I have not purchased Wallflower yet, and I can't be sure when I will. I'd like to finish the roster at some point, but there's no guarantees when that'll happen. I was under the effects of a 'Fey Mood' when I made these token sets, and I have no idea how I managed to get them done in a week back then, haha.
ah understandable. i saw a couple of tokens that were the wallflower npcs in a video that looked exactly similar to your packs so i was just curious if they were in another pack or so. apologies for any inconveniences
Are you alright with people using these in games? I just didn't see anything about that in the readme or any kind of license. It won't be commercial if that makes any difference to you.
I made these to be used as tokens for virtual tabletops like Roll20 and Foundry, but as long as you aren't using them in a commercial product you're basically free to do whatever with them, I suppose. If you do wind up using them in any kind of non-commercial project, just be sure to credit me, and send me a link so I can see it!
Indeed, I saw that was their intended purpose so I thought it would be safest to ask. Thank you for the reply, I’ll be sure to let you know if I make use of them~
Great token pack! I've been using these in my Roll20 LANCER campaign over the last few months and my players love them.
Hey there,
i really like those tokens even though i never played the Lancer RPG before.
Will there be more of those tokens? If not, are you open for commissions for more or maybe similar ones?
Sorry for the late reply! I did plan on making another set with vehicles and organics, but unfortunately I haven't been able to find the time or focus to do so. This was a side-project in my free time, and between work and other hobbies I haven't been able to return for a proper round 2. Maybe someday, but sadly I can't make any guarantees.
Have you considered creating ones for hexagonal grids?
Making hex tokens at this resolution would be exceptionally difficult, but perhaps more importantly is that hex-support on Roll20 is a joke. I actually gave up on using hexes in Lancer entirely after beating my head against the brick wall of 'getting hex tokens to work at all', even without custom tokens like these. Unfortunately making hex tokens would involve an absurd amount of extra work, and even then they would only barely be useable. You are however more than welcome to take my tokens, cut the borders off, and slap them into any of those utilities like 'Token Stamp' or 'Token Tool'. Though even then, size 2, 3, and 4 hex tokens aren't supported by default, and you'll still run into Roll20's issue where hex tokens other than size 1 simply don't snap to the grid properly at all.
Understandable
AWESOME PRODUCT!!! 10/10 Recommend
